Cookie policy

What we use
Only technical storage in your browser (localStorage): your light/dark theme preference and the experiences you add to the comparison. It is not sent to any server nor used for tracking.
Analytics (only with your permission)
If you accept, Google Analytics 4 sets the _ga and _ga_<ID> cookies (maximum lifetime 13 months) to count visits in aggregate. If you reject, nothing from Google is loaded. You can change your choice at any time via the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer. With the same permission we load GetYourGuide’s measurement script, which attributes bookings made through our links to Atlas, and Travelpayouts’ script (an affiliate network), which verifies the site, measures its use and may set its own cookies. We use no advertising or social media cookies.
Outbound links
When you visit an operator’s or booking platform’s site, those sites may set their own cookies (including affiliate cookies). Their policy applies there.
How to delete it
You can clear this storage from your browser settings (site data).
Anonymous click counter
We count clicks on external links anonymously. It uses no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and keeps no IP address or identifiers (more detail under Privacy), so under the Spanish Data Protection Agency’s guide on audience measurement (2024) it does not require consent. It is independent of the cookie notice and you can avoid it by turning off JavaScript.
Session cookie (only if you sign in)
If you create an account and sign in, we store a cookie called atlas_s. It is strictly necessary to keep you signed in (it is not used for analytics or advertising), so it does not need your consent. It is only created when you sign in, is HttpOnly (the site’s code cannot read it), travels only over HTTPS, lasts 90 days from your last visit and is deleted when you sign out or delete the account. We also keep a flag in localStorage that remembers you signed in and, if you close the notice inviting you to create an account, that you closed it. The “My account” page loads the Google button (accounts.google.com) if that option is switched on; Google may use its own cookies when it loads.
