Data we process
Only what you send through our forms (claim a listing, request changes or removal): name, email, role, business website and your message. Also technical server logs (IP, date, page) kept for a limited time for security.
Purpose and legal basis
To handle your request (pre-contractual steps or consent) and to keep the site secure (legitimate interest). We do not use your data for profiling or third-party advertising.
Operator data
Listings contain public professional business data (trade name, website, town). You may request correction or removal at any time via “Takedown”.
Retention and recipients
We keep data for as long as the request lasts plus legal limitation periods. Our hosting and email providers may access it as processors. We do not sell data.
Your rights
You may exercise access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to hola@atlasibiza.com. You can also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
Analytics and third parties
Only if you accept in the cookie notice, we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.) to measure, in aggregate, which pages are visited and which booking links are used. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw under “Cookie preferences”. Advertising signals and ad personalisation are disabled. Google may process data in the US under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Listings may show business photos served directly by Google Maps (Google Ireland Ltd.); your browser then connects to Google, which receives your IP address. When you click an outbound link, the destination site applies its own policy.
Anonymous click counter
We count clicks on external links (bookings, accommodation, car hire, transfers, official websites and Google Maps) anonymously and in aggregate per day: we only store the destination network, the listing, the link position, the language and the page, and add one to the count. We use no cookies and do not store your IP address, your browser or any identifier, so we cannot tell who clicked. It is only for our own statistics, to learn which links are useful. Under the Spanish Data Protection Agency’s guide on audience measurement (2024), this anonymous count does not require consent. If you prefer not to be counted, you can avoid it by turning off JavaScript in your browser.
User accounts
Creating an account is optional: without one, your town stamp passport stays only in your browser. If you create one, we process your email address, your name (optional; if you sign in with Google, the one Google provides), your language, the dates you joined and last signed in, and your stamps with their dates (and whether you marked them using your location). The purpose is to keep your passport, sync it across your devices and send you the sign-in link. The legal basis is performance of the service you request by creating the account (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Accounts are for people aged 14 or over. We do not pass this data on or use it for advertising or profiling; only our hosting and email providers can access it, as processors.
How you sign in: Google or email link
There are no passwords. With the email link we send you a one-time message that expires after 20 minutes; it is a service email with no advertising. With Google, we only receive your name and verified email address (not your photo or contacts). The Google button is loaded only on the “My account” page, and only if that option is switched on: when it loads, Google receives your IP address and applies its own privacy policy. Nothing from Google is loaded elsewhere on the site for this purpose. If you verify a stamp with your location, your browser uses it once on your device to check that you are in the municipality: we neither send nor store it, we only record that the stamp is verified.
Reviews on listings
If you have an account, you can leave a review of an experience. We store your rating, the text, the language, the month you did it (only if you give it), the dates it was sent, edited and checked, and the account it belongs to. Every review is checked before it is published. A published review shows the rating, the text, the language, that month, the publication date and a short name: your first name with the initial of your surname as they appear in your account (or “Traveller” if you have not set a name); never your email. Published reviews are part of the listing page, including the data that search engines read, and are shown as reviews by Atlas users, not Google. The legal basis is performance of the service you request by sending it (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). You can edit or delete it at any time from the listing itself: once deleted it disappears from the listing straight away and from the stored page code at the next site update (usually within a few hours). If you delete your account, all your reviews are deleted too, and the data download in “My account” includes them.
Retention, access and deleting the account
We keep your account data until you delete it. If 24 months pass without you signing in, we delete it ourselves. Under “My account” you can download all your data as a file (JSON) and delete the account instantly, which removes your email, name, stamps and sessions. For your other rights (rectification, objection, restriction) write to hola@atlasibiza.com; if you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
Newsletter, plan by email and alerts
You do not need an account to sign up for three things: the seasonal newsletter (Ibiza ideas for every month), having your trip plan emailed to you with a reminder before the trip, and alerts about a specific experience (if its price drops or when its season opens). We process your email address, your language and what you tell us in each case: for the newsletter, your interests and the month of your trip (optional); for the plan, the experiences you saved, how they are split by day and the travel date (optional); for alerts, the experience and the type of alert. We also keep the date, the text version and the box you ticked as consent, the confirmation date and the page you signed up from; if you are signed in, we link the subscription to your account. The purpose is to send you what you asked for and to manage your subscription. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): you give it by ticking the box, which is never pre-ticked, and you confirm it with the link in the confirmation email (double opt-in). If you do not confirm, nothing is switched on and we delete the request after 7 days. Today we only send that confirmation email, which is a service message; the periodic mailings (newsletter, plan reminder and alerts) have not started yet and, when they do, will only cover what you chose. You can withdraw your consent at any time, at no cost: with one click from the unsubscribe link in each of our emails, or from “My account” if you have one. When you unsubscribe we delete your subscription immediately and only keep an anonymous count (date, type and language), without your email. We keep the data until you unsubscribe; the plan until 60 days after the travel date (12 months if you give no date). We store it on a server outside the public website, and only our hosting and email providers can access it, as processors. We do not pass it on or use it for third-party advertising. If you delete your account, your subscriptions are deleted too, and the data download in “My account” includes them. To access, rectify or erase your data, object, restrict its processing or request portability, write to hola@atlasibiza.com; if you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
