Walk along the Renaissance walls of Dalt Vila

by Ajuntament d'Eivissa (Turismo y Patrimonio) · Eivissa

Walk the walled enclosure of Dalt Vila, a World Heritage Site, entering through the Portal de ses Taules and looking out from the bastions.

About

The Renaissance fortress rings the Puig de Vila with roughly 1,800 metres of perimeter, seven bastions and five entrances; the main one is the Portal de ses Taules, facing the Marina quarter. Eivissa's tourism site presents it as a walk through the old town and publishes no access hours: check before you go. The museums and centres inside (MACE, Sant Pere centre) keep their own hours. Works on the Sant Jordi bastion were announced; their status is unconfirmed, so some stretches may be closed.

  • Portal de ses Taules and its former drawbridge
  • Seven bastions with views over the harbour
  • World Heritage since 1999
