Es Broll de Buscastell: spring and valley

by Ajuntament de Sant Antoni de Portmany · Sant Antoni de Portmany

Protected spring and a walk through a valley of terraces and irrigation channels of Moorish origin, inland from Sant Antoni.

About

Es Broll de Buscastell is a groundwater spring that the Balearic government describes as delimited and protected. It rises where a fault joins permeable rock and marl, feeding the Torrent des Buscastell and irrigation channels of Muslim origin. The valley is about 5 km long, with terraces of almond, orange, carob and olive trees. It flows mainly in the rainy season, with small temporary waterfalls. A dirt track leaves the road to Santa Agnès; guides mention about 40 minutes on foot. No hours or price are published.
