Sa Sal Rossa tower and walk to La Xanga

by Ajuntament de Sant Josep de sa Talaia (Turismo) · Sant Josep de sa Talaia

Marked route through Ses Salines from Sant Francesc de s'Estany to Platja d'en Bossa, with the Sa Sal Rossa tower on a headland.

About

Sant Josep's tourism site proposes a route from the church of Sant Francesc de s'Estany to Platja d'en Bossa and back, passing a bird hide, the Rafael Alberti cave and La Xanga. The 18th-century Sa Sal Rossa tower (also called Carregador) stands on a headland between Platja d'en Bossa and La Xanga cove and is seen from the path. No current source covers interior visits: the Consell owns it and it once opened on summer hours, which may no longer apply. Check before you go.
