Molí Vell de la Mola (Old Mill)

by Consell Insular de Formentera · Formentera

Flour windmill from 1778 next to El Pilar de la Mola, one of the best preserved in the Balearics. Free admission per the Consell; interior open in summer.

About

An 18th-century flour windmill with cylindrical stone walls, a conical roof and six sails; the year 1778 is engraved on the machinery and it was restored in 1994. The official site says admission is free, and another Consell page says the interior, with its original machinery, can be visited in summer. The latest published official schedule is from summer 2023: Wednesdays and Sundays 17:00 to 20:00, closed on public holidays; a 2026 press article gives 17:30 to 20:30. No current calendar is confirmed, so outside the season expect to see it from the outside only and confirm on formentera.es.
